I was already on the journey to accepting myself, and I’m not a religious person, but I remember Troye Sivan’s song Heaven really resonating with me when it came out. It felt like acknowledging the possibility that some higher being might not like who I am, but deciding, "so what?" I'd rather be me than lie just to get into 'heaven'.
